Chemical application and strengths:
LABSA is an anionic surfactant. Its molecules have both hydrophobic and hydrophilic group.  This compound is created from a sulfonation process where chlorosulfonic acid, sulphuric acid, diluted sulphur trioxide and sulfamic acid.  The long length of the alkyl chain makes it able to form different formulations when mixed with other salts.

Sulphonic acid is a low-volume synthetic surfactant that is available at a low cost. It is used for the production of various emulsifiers and detergents for use in households, dishwashing and as well as mercerizing and cleaning agents in the textile industry.  The increased use of LABSA increases the surface area of distempers. This is why it is used as a wetting agent and an emulsifier. The product can be used with other surfactants to increase foaming in toilet soaps.

LABSA has a high quantity of active matter while at the same time having low water and salt contentment. This enables it to be used as a polymerization agent for emulsions and to be used in the manufacture of coupling agents and agricultural herbicides.  LABSA is one of the common anionic surfactants, which are not toxic to the environment and human bodies. However, if you are exposed to the surfactant for a long period, you may have skin irritation or skin damage owing to the damage to the lipid membrane.  In addition, the chemical is fully biodegradable and therefore environment-friendly. There are specialised applications that include the prevention of rust in metal electroplating industry.
